Adria Ann Snyder, 84, of Tampa, passed away on March 3, 2021. A lifelong resident of Florida, she graduated from Boone High School in Orlando and attended Florida State University in Tallahassee. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and the FSU Flying High Circus, and she met her husband, Bill, while they were both FSU students. Adria Ann and Bill married in 1959 and eventually settled in Tampa, raising their three sons on Davis Island. Together they enjoyed many years of baseball as the boys moved through Bayshore Little League to Plant High School to Florida State University and The University of Tampa. Adria Ann taught school for more than 25 years in Hillsborough County and was sole proprietor of Adria’s Antiques, with locations in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Anna Maria Island and Waynesville, North Carolina. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a dedicated volunteer for the University of Tampa Chiselers. She was also a member of Palma Ceia Country Club, where she enjoyed years of water aerobics. She was preceded in death by her parents Homer Olaf Whittle and Helen Lundy Whittle; and brother-in-law Robert Hudson. Adria Ann is survived by her husband of 61 years William Thomas Snyder, Jr.; sister Ruth Ann Hudson; children William Thomas Snyder III (Bet), James Brett Snyder (Peni), Matthew Harrison Snyder (Kendall); grandchildren, Matthew Holtsinger (Lynsey), Kyle Holtsinger (Jill), Maggie Dene Snyder Baldwin (Hunter), Allison Ann Snyder, James Wade Snyder (Josephine) and Wesley Harrison Snyder; and many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. The family gives special thanks to Claudette Canty and Ara Perdomo for their loving and dedicated care of Adria Ann in recent years. Following a private burial, a memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, March 11 at First Presbyterian Church of Tampa, 412 E Zack St, Tampa, FL 33602.
