I have very sweet memories of Julie. She lived next door to me for many years. We loved talking about flowers and things that were special to her about the trips she had been on and her younger years when she lived in California. She was always so kind and thoughtful. You were very special to so many people.

I was a former student of Julie when in the 5th and 6th grades at St. Matthew's School in San Mateo, CA.  She was without a doubt the most influential person in my life other than my parents.  I  spent years trying to find her so I could thank her personally for helping me learn and finally did in 2007.  Then my wife and I visited her in Tampa for three days.  Her birthday on May 5th is one day before mine on May 6th.  Two months before her death, I wrote a letter of appreciation to her for all the support and teaching she provided me when I was a little boy.   I tried unsuccessfully to paste that letter here, but I would be pleased to share it with you if you have interest in reading about a boy who spoke Italian before English and was loved by Julie through her teaching me the basics of English. I am so thankful that Aunt Julie was in my life.  She was so encouraging and generous to me.  I remember being a little girl and not wanting school to start.  Aunt Julie went and bought a lot of fun school supplies for me and my brothers and sisters so we would be more excited about starting school.  My precious Aunt Julie was fun, feisty, and loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart, mind and emotions.

Thank you Ms. Julie for the love you have shown me and my family. When I was anxious about life, you were there to enlighten me. When I was sad about my father's brain injury, you were there to comfort me even as you were in your own bed. We are very blessed to have known you.  You truly are a follower of Christ. May the Lord let His perpetual light shine upon you.

Thank you for so much you did for my family.from helping my mom with the kids to making sure we got a bag in the food pantry.i still remember when I was reail small you sat me down with a tall stack of flash cards and help me read and write.you we're more then just a friend you are family.im so sorry I'm so far away right now but I will be down one day to visit you once again.

Our  favorite memories of Julie included our trips throughout the world!   Whether it was to the Holy Lands of Israel and  Egypt, to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana or Europe, including the Oberammgasu Passion Play in  Germany,  a cruise or  more, Julie  was always her kind and loving self, eager to learn and participate.  Even after  her travel days came to a close and we were mostly in touch with her friend, Jan,  Julie was always a shining example of devout faith and  Christian love.
