her in Ft Myers, Florida.  This was
the "landlady's" daughter from Newell St.

"I was so lucky to have Aunt Ronnie in my life.  I can't think of her without smiling."


Felicia, Dave and Scarlett DiGiacinto (Grantsboro, NC) send their condolences, and Scarlett, aged 12, writes:  "I will miss GiGi so much.  We will always keep her in our thoughts and hearts."  Scarlett visited Mom with Linda and Al in the assisted living faciltity when Mom was 96, and Scarlett played "Happy Birthday" on the piano for Mom and the other residents.  


Theresa and Bob Caldwell (Ronkonkama, NY) write:  "We loved Aunt Ronnie.  She and Uncle Fred were so good to us.  She was a wonderful Aunt.  I know that she is now at peace with Uncle Fred and the rest of the Duffys."


Freddie and Tracey Maas sent a Memorial Mass Card for Mom to be remembered by the St. Anthony Mission League in all their Masses and prayers.  Freddie worked with Fred at the police department for many years.  Freddie also attended Mom's Mass at St. Malachys.

Maureen and Jim McNally wrote how  sorry they were to hear about mom. They will always remember all the happy times that our families shared together;  birthdays, weddings, graduations, vacations in the Hamptons, Saturdays at the house when her father came to visit with the children.  She further expressed that "ALL THE DUFFY's WERE WAITING FOR HER WITH OPEN ARMS".

Father O'Dwyer wrote that he will have a Memorial Mass for Mom as soon as her friend (Millie) is able to attend.  He also expressed mom had a great devotion to the Lord and his promise, she undoubtably is praying for all of us now.

John and Joan Picarello (John worked with son, Fred, at police dept.) have arranged for meals being served at St. John's Feed the Hungry on Jan. 4, 2012 (Newark, NJ) to be in Mom's memory.  Mom will also be remembered in First Friday Mass.


Bob and Sally Lomenzo have requested the Priests of the Sacred Heart to include a Memorial Remembrance in their daily Masses and Prayers for Mom.  Bob and Sally enjoyed Mom's company at dinner in a local Italian restaurant when Mom visited Fred and Barbara in Melbourne Beach.

Robert and Phyllis Caldwell have requested the Priests of the Sacred Heart to remember Mom in their daily Masses.


Jack and Ann Whelan are having a Mass offered for Mom at Immaculate Conception Church in Melbourne Beach on July 22, 2012.  The Whelans invited Mom to an Irish concert at the church a few years ago.  Mom loved it!


Pete and Kathie Duffy have requested the Servants of Mary to remember Mom in a daily Mass at Saint Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.

Thomas and Margaret McKee have asked the priests of the Sacred Heart remember Mom in their Masses and Prayers.

Barbara Mickulas is having a daily mass remembrance offered by the Friar Priests.  She recalls mom and dad delivering bagels on a Sunday morning
to all the girls that were renting a house in the Hamptons.  The bagels were
good by mostly how thoughtful our parents were and fun to be with.

Ruth and Bob Bard, long time friends of mom and dad have entered mom's name in daily masses and prayers of Trinity Missions.

They said mom was one of the sweetest ladies (and friend) they have known and now she is with Dad.

Our mother has been enrolled in perpetual prayers and masses "In the Passionist Society of Prayer" Missionaries around the world by
Betty and Jim Macaluso (her long time friends and neighbors).

My Dear Freddy,(Barbara) Alfred (Linda) Veronica and family.
It was with great sorrow that we received the sad news of the pasing of our friend, your mother Veronica, a fun lady.
We have enjoyed her company from our first meeting on St Croix and the many Thanksgiving Dinners we had together.
She will surley be missed by all of us here, and welcomed by her family there.

dear freddie alfred & little ronnie, and family. cousin thomas caldwell called last nite to tell me of aunt ronnie'spassing.  how sorry i was to hear.  the memories of this "duffy" clan will always be in my heart. She is now with the best of the best.  I'm sure they were all glad to see her!!!!! Especially Uncle Freddie and Kenneth!!!! Knowing my mom, she probablly had her meatballs waiting.  I will ALWAYS remember Aunt Ronnie and the memories she left behind. with deepest sympathy, cousin karen
