Ms. Millicent Gertrude Mithchell, born February 27th, 1925 to Simeon Nehemiah Mitchell and his wife Emily Adlin Nee Parkins. As loving parents, they enjoyed a comfortable life in Hanover and Kingston where they both served as teachers and headmasters. Millicent had several siblings who are all deceased.
Millicent had also become a teacher and as a visionary she opened a basic school in Kingston Jamaica. Her beloved older sister Rosamond Mitchell had two children Bancroft Anglin who is deceased & Barbara Laidley who is in London today, they always shared how loving the family were and the strong foundations that were established. Millie enjoyed having a good time with her peeps, however became firm and very disciplined when needed. Millie was a proud mother of three children Horace George Absalom now deceased, Jacqueline Absalom- Grant and Courtney Wayne Steeves. Millicent retired to Florida to live with her daughter Jacqueline and her family in her former days.
Millicent was called home the afternoon of March 7th, 2019 and leaves a legacy of Love; Leaving to cherish her memories; her children Jacqueline & Courtney. Children from her son Horace; Donna, Trisha, Claudine, Andre, Alison & Damion & grandchildren from her sons legacy Jelani, Jenika, Ricardo, Darion, Dovarion, Kymani & Jayquan. Daughter Jacqueline son Ajani. Grandchildren from Courtney son Yannick, Ashleigh, Cory & great granddaughter Ariyah.
Her Nephew Bancrofts wife Cynthia, Children & grandchildren, Niece Barbara, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
