He was my doctor for many years of my life from childhood to adulthood I miss his treatment of me. He was the best.

He was more than a regular doctor, he was this person to whom your health mattered. You would never visit Dr. Mossop's office and leave until he was sure you felt better. I remember when my mom could hardly walk, we took her there and she left that office walking. A true humanitarian. RIP Doc.

My condolences to the family of Dr. Douglas Mossop.  He is a great doctor I visited his medical facility for many years in Linstead, St. Catherine.  He could solve your issues just after asking a few questions.  He showed care to me and family  I was always given my medication even when I did not have enough money.  Whenever you visited him he always ask you about your career and how your family is doing.  He has touched the lives of many,  he administered medical care to my children and other family members.  He will be missed, May his soul Rest In Peace.

Dr Mossop was one of those “ gifted “ ones. I remember seeing him when I was Sick and it’s almost as if your healing begins as soon as you entered his door. He even would offer samples of the medicine just to make sure you get the meds you need. Sometimes money or not he will see you. Sincere condolences to his family.

My  condolences to the family,  I have worked with Doc for a few  years before   migrating to the States and he was a great person to work with. He was a great doctor who served in the Linstead community. 

DR Massop how can i forget a man who save me and my daughter's life.
When i had my daughter at age 18.i was in labour for 3 days.when my daughter born i went into coma for 2 weeks..right there in listead Hospital he check on me every morning when he came in.and before he leave.

Dr Massop was a very understanding and compassionate man who cared about his patients. He was also a very good Doctor that was result oriented. We had a wonderful doctor /patient relationship when he worked in the Linstead area. I deeply regret his passing and he will be greatly missed for his wonderful contribution to Jamaica and in particular the Linstead community. Condolences to his family and may his soul rip 😢 

My condolences to his daughter and family. Dr. Mossop was unique in many ways treating patients. He treated the patient most of the time he would let them sit for a while then check back on them before sending home. He was my family doctor, friend and my last daughter godfather. I worked with him for a few months. He will be missed. May his kind and loving soul rest in peace. 

A man who has served the Linstead community with dignity and respect,  years of his life hecdeducated to the people of Linstead my mother died 21 years ago and Dr massop was her long time Doc, RIP Dr M . Linstead will miss you.

He was my favourite doctor from childhood until he migrated .If i never goes to him wen i was ill i felt like i could never get well .I remm one instance i had an in grown nail couldnt wear shoes to sch i went to every doc in linstead an he was the only one  who could get it better .May his beautiful soul rest in sweet peace

I can remember as a child my mother could not take me to no other doctor, and even when I had my first child I remember you saving her life. You will be missed and I thank u do much for the wonderful contribution to the Linstead community. My condolence to the family of Dr. Mossop. He was a very humble, caring and kind doctor. A few days ago, I was talking to my children about him and how nice he was. Dr Mossop impressed me as a gracious man with a good sense of humor.  He will be missed tremendously, but we are comforted knowing that he is in a better place where pain is no more. Rest well Doc!

May your life’s labours and love live on in those who laboured and loved alongside you. It is enough that they say it was good for you to have been here.

I first met Douglas (fondly aka Jughead ) at KC  though he was 4 years my senior,  but really got to know him in 1967 while attending the then Sir George Williams Univ. (now Concordia) in Montreal. Then later while working together at the nearby Jamaican Pavillion Exposition site just outside Montreal through the summer of 1968. Douglas was the head bartender and I was a barhelp behind the scenes. I was the silent 3rd person in an earlier summer discussion between Douglas and the new concessionaire manager of the pavilion (in April/May 1968) where Douglas explained to the new manager, in excruciating detail, what he had to do to get the bar services flowing efficiently again. This was all from his experience gained the year before while working at Expo 67.  The manager made Juggs the head bartender on the spot, and I got a bar backup summer job from the encounter. I still remember a lot of wise council he gave me in those fun-filled days. May you rest in deserved peace Juggs.

From our early days living in Bournemouth Gardens and forming lifetime friendships with each other and other notables there, to us two attending Kingston College and being on the KC swimming team at the same time, Doug was always a stand-up guy and a true friend. These are attributes he maintained and retained throughout his life always, despite life's complications, as others from the Bournemouth Gardens alum will also attest.

My  introduction to Dr. Mossop was in May of this year when I  visited him in Margate to initiate homecare.  Although he was going through quite a bit, he was always smiling and had a great sense of humor. It was a pleasure  to  have known him. I met Dr Mossop as a patient through First  Class Home Health.  Such a gentle and caring person. He was always willing to try  suggestions that would help his condition.  We shared history about University Hospital.  A kind and soft spoken man. When we lose someone we have to deal with unpleasant realities. But from Chist perspective,  the death of someone who belongs to him , is a beautiful and precious thing.  My sympathy to Donna, Dr June Mossop, other sisters and Tammy his daughter.  May he rest in peace.

My friend , colleague,  and class of '76 classmate was loved by all  who had the privilege of journeying in life with him. A kind soul, a caring  Family  Physician, a loyal friend, a warm and gentle human being. Doug was often the life of the party, giving jokes, creating drama, and holding everyone's attention. Not one to  say an unkind word about another person but was blunt when necessary. He made a difference wherever he trod. Loved his wife Donna,  gave his all to daughter Tamie and granddaughter. Loved his sisters and trusted in the power of prayer to Almighty God. May he find peace with his maker.
