Carl Anthony Myers lived an awesome life guided by strong morals, integrity, grace and humility. He was very forthcoming and transparent and had a zeal for life. Carl loved gardening and he was very passionate about cooking. He is known as the head chef in his family and circle of friends. You could hear him critique restaurant food because as we all knew he could do it better. He had an incredible palate and could tell you what ingredients you were missing with just one taste. Sometimes he could tell you just by looking at it. He was just that good.
Carl used his culinary skills to bring his loved ones together. His laughter was infectious with the signature Myers smile. Having his sibling and children together brought him a lot of joy. Often times he would call after a gathering to say, "the place feels different now."
He is leaving behind a wealth of knowledge and jewels to guide his loved one. Carl used to say that we are all connected by our journeys. If you have ever been blessed to have a conversation where he gave you advice, you would have heard him say, " A wise man learns from his own mistakes but a wiser man learned from another man's mistake."
He was a man who knew the Bible and would often spar with you biblically. It gives us comfort to know that his soul was right with God. To be absent from the body and present with the Lord was his life's mission. He modeled for his family what it meant to be a man of God. We are left with his wisdom and unwavering faith that in everything we do, we should put God first.
With his absence "the place feels different now". May his soul rest in eternal peace.
