Family members who continue to celebrate his life are his wife of over 40 years, Shan Goff; his beloved daughter, Kate Palazesi (Ben); and grandchildren, Theo and Avery; sister, Karen Warren; niece, Sara Peyton; and nephew, Joseph Warren.
Upon graduating from Miami Killian High School and then the University of Florida in 1978, Bill taught vocational agriculture at Wildwood High School. Bill and Shan, were married shortly afterwards, moved to Ocala and eventually settled in Tallahassee. Bill continued to work as a contractor/consultant until his retirement in 2022. If something needed to be fixed, remodeled or built, it was Bill who could make it happen.
He enjoyed golfing for many years and participated in annual tournaments with his Gainesville friends. He loved fishing the most. Growing up in Miami, he and his childhood friends spent many memorable nights in the Everglades. He and friends from Apalachicola hunted and fished together for almost 40 years.
Bill was involved with and supported girls’ softball given that his daughter played T-ball through college. Bill coached both city and travel teams and supported the Boosters Club for the Leon Lady Lions Softball Program for many years.
Genuinely loved by all who knew him, we will remember the many stories Bill left behind and the lives he touched while he was with us. He will be missed and held forever in our hearts.
An informal gathering will be held from 1:30 – 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 14th at Culley’s Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, Florida.
