Born December 6th, 1932 in Birmingham, Alabama, Wade attended Woodlawn High School then Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) where he received a degree in mechanical engineering. After serving in the United States Navy, he settled in Nashville, Tennessee where he worked as a consulting engineer and was the founder of Entech Engineering.
His family and friends will remember him as an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed a very active lifestyle, participating in many outdoor sports during all seasons in Idaho, Wyoming, and Florida. Wade enjoyed traveling to each continent and cherished the comforts he found at home.
Wade was blessed to have had two beautiful marriages, first to Janett Thomas before her death in 1999 and then to Rosemarie Neumann Thomas who he married in 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene Carlton Thomas and Charlie Baker Thomas and his siblings Alfred Thomas and Dr. John Thomas. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemarie; his children, Dr. Catherine Thomas of Birmingham, Alabama and Steve Thomas (Judy) of Nashville Tennessee; sister, Alma Boggan(Jack) of Birmingham, Alabama; and stepdaughters, Jan Raymond, Robin Raymond and Kim Raymond (Kelly); as well as six grandchildren, Claire Balliro, Grace Balliro, Rose Balliro, James Pugh, Jeffery Pugh and Jackson Raymond. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews.
He will always be remembered for his kind, gentle and easy-going personality as well as his endless patience and love for his family.
