Suzanne Dorn Einboden of Tallahassee Florida Formerly of Columbus Ohio, passed away in the early morning of September 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her Family. Suzanne left this life to be with Jesus and loved ones in Heaven, Following a nearly year long courageous battle with brain cancer.
Suzanne was born on August 14, 1949 in Columbus, Oh to parents Lewis Dorn and Rosemary Widmaier Dorn. She attended several Catholic schools in Columbus and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1967. She enrolled at The Ohio State University, graduating in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree.
In the Fall of 1973 she enrolled at Capital University Law School graduating in 1976 with a Juris Doctor Degree. At Capital she met her future husband and fellow law student Greg. Suzanne and Greg were married on March 12, 1976, at Corpus Christi Catholic church in Columbus Oh.
Following graduation from Law school and admission to the Ohio Bar, Suzanne along with her husband Greg, were commissioned as officers in The Judge Advocate General's Corps of the U.S. Army. Suzanne was assigned to duty at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, in 1977. She immediately assumed a heavy caseload as a trial Defense Counsel, representing hundreds of officer and enlisted personnel at Army Courts Martial, Administrative Boards, and non-judicial proceedings, until her medical retirement from the Army in 1979.
After retirement, Suzanne accompanied Her Husband on his assignment to positions in Louisiana, Arizona, California, Maryland, Georgia, and Virginia. Suzanne and her husband moved to Florida in 2017 following his retirement.
Suzanne was a devoted wife and Mom to two Sons Bradley Einboden and Ryan Einboden. In 1988, with her two sons enrolled in public school in Arizona, Suzane ran for and was elected to the Sierra Vista, Arizona School Board. In that position she was an active proponent of various school safety measures. She was also instrumental in the planning and construction of a new high school in Sierra Vista.
Suzanne Brightened the lives of everyone she met. She was a constant fixture at her sons' athletic events and other school activities. She was an avid reader, collecting nearly two thousand books at her Home Library. She loved Music and remaining in touch with her "Quilting" friends from Ohio. But most of all her Greatest Joy was playing cards with Her Husband Greg on their sun porch of their Florida Home.
Suzanne is survived by Her Husband of 45 Years, Greg; Her Sons Bradley Gregory Einboden of Tallahassee, and Ryan Michael Einboden of Orlando, Florida; Grandson Tristan Cuda of Merritt Island, Florida; Brother Thomas Dorn and his wife Lois Dorn of Columbus, Ohio; Sister Marilyn Wunderlin and her husband Paul Wunderlin of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; Aunt Margaret Rodgers and cousin Bobby of Columbus; and Brad's Fiancee and Suzanne's Devoted Friend and Caregiver Tracy Green of Tallahassee, and many more cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Rosemary Dorn, and brother James Dorn.
Suzanne is loved and missed by all of us.
