Steven Weiss

Steven R. Weiss passed away peacefully October 9, 2022 after losing his fight with brain cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Tanya; beloved daughter, Katie; stepsons, Tim Gibbens (Kim) and John Gibbens (Amber); brother, Gary, and sister, Lisa, both of Jacksonville Beach. He also leaves behind four beloved step-grandchildren, Alyx, Marin, Tyson and Olivia. Steve was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Bert and Joyce (Blakenship) Weiss. After his family moved to Jacksonville Beach, Steve discovered his love for the beach and the ocean, eventually becoming a member of the American Red Cross Volunteer Life Saving Corp. and forming lifelong friendships. He graduated from Florida State University in 1978 and finished his career as a Financial Advisor. He loved playing guitar and often posted videos for his “fans.” FSU football was high on his list of priorities and never missed a game. Steve enjoyed meeting new people and never knew a stranger. He will be sorely missed. May he Rest in Peace.

To celebrate the life of Steve, the family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm., at the family residence at 6519 Wildemeade Place, Tallahassee, Florida.
