Sheryle Moody Donnell

Sheryle Moody Donnell, 79, of Tallahassee, Florida passed away at her home on September 27, 2024, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Sheryle was born on February 2, 1945, in Tallahassee, Florida the second of six children and the only daughter to the late Douglas and Evelyn Moody. A Tallahassee native, she spent many of her younger years in Fort Walton Beach, Florida where she graduated from Choctawhatchee High School Class of ’63. She later moved back to Tallahassee, married, and became a loving mother to one son and many cherished dogs over the years. She loved spending time with friends and family, enjoying seafood, and traveling.

Sheryle retired from the phone company Sprint and then went on to work for the State of Florida for a brief period after. Brought up in the Baptist faith, Sheryle is a devout Christian and believer in God’s word. She was preceded in death by father, Douglas Moody, mother, Evelyn Moody, brothers, Richard Moody and Rodney Moody. Sheryle is survived by her son, Travis Donnell, former spouse Doyle Donnell, her beloved dog Bindi Sue, brothers Larry Moody (and his wife, Shirley), Paul Moody, and Kendall Moody (and his wife, Lisa). The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all who provided support and care in recent years. Your kindness and compassion have been deeply appreciated.

A celebration of life for Sheryle will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida.
