She was born on September 3, 1953, in State College, Pennsylvania. Sally was a fun-loving person who enjoyed being with all her extended family, traveling, gardening, and walking her dog Lincoln with her husband. She was a member of Evangel Assembly of God in Tallahassee and served as a volunteer at A Women’s Pregnancy Center in Tallahassee for over 13 years. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology and was self-employed as a speech therapist for 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Moore and her mother, Virginia Moore. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Michael Woodard; brother Greg Moore of Ottumwa, Iowa; sister Pamela Moore of Norcross, Iowa; son Tom Burgett and his wife, Christine, and their three children Chloe, Joel and John of Gainesville, Florida; and son Joe Burgett and his wife Jill, and their three children Kate, Emma and Brynn of Clemson, South Carolina. She will be dearly missed by her family.
Private funeral services will be held at Forest Meadows Cemetery in Gainesville, Florida on June 15, 2023.
