Rosa Lee Short

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and a service will be held on Thursday, March 26th at 2:00 p.m.

Rosa Lee Short was born on January 27, 1925, in Villas, Florida, and graduated from Liberty County High School in 1944 (Rosa Lee Jacobs). Rosa also graduated from Massey Business School and worked for the Department of Highway Safety. On June 5, 1954, she married Fred Cecil Short (deceased April 2, 1990), and through this union brought forth two children into the family. She was a member of Celebration Baptist Church in Tallahassee.

Mrs. Short is survived by her two sons Charles Fred Short (wife Donna Short) and Stuart Keith Short of Tallahassee, Florida, her brother Therman Jacobs, five sisters: Marie Green, Loretta Flowers, Joyce Barker, Sadie Lee Davis, and Lois Pitts, and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Short is preceded in death by her mother Flossie Jacobs, father Corvia Jacobs, sister Lavoris Kirkland, and brother Eugene Jacobs.

Rosa was a kind and loving mother, who instilled her deeply held values of honesty and integrity in children, will always be remembered by them with the greatest of love, and will be extremely missed by her family.
