Robert Benjamin Paige, 66, of Tallahassee died Monday (7/11) at his home. A native of Swanville, Maine he has lived here in Tallahassee for many years. He was retired from the Department of Defense where he was a certified NACE Inspector (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) and a proud Vietnam Veteran, having served in the US Army. Robert had a good heart and never complained. He was a member and well-liked by all the members of the Big Bend Filipino-American Association. A man who loved the outdoors, Robert enjoyed fishing. He worked tirelessly in his garden and had a green thumb with anything he attempted to grow. His favorite hobby was photography and he took pictures everywhere he went. He was also an avid sports fan and followed FSU and the Patriots closely.
Preceded in death by his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory his life partner Lally Govans and her son: Joshua Govans; a son: Robert (Nary), III and their children: Jonathan and Jasmine; as well as other relatives and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Co-Cathedral of St Thomas More Catholic Church on Saturday at 3:00 PM. Friends may call at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road, Friday from 6 to 8 PM.
