Robert (Bob) Clinton Ketterman was born in York, PA, on August 19, 1922, and passed on April 8, 2017, in Tallahassee, FL. He was the son of Rudolph Ketterman and Anna Brodbeck Ketterman. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Rex B. and William Henry Ketterman, and a son, Michael Clinton Ketterman.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Genevieve Joanna Ziegler Ketterman; two daughters, J. Wendy Williams of Tallahassee, FL, and Margaret Anne Martin (Andy) of York; four grandchildren, Nicole Miller (Tom) of Dallastown, Matthew Bender of Towson, MD, Shanna Smith of Annville, PA, and Abby Kirkland (Craig) of Tallahassee, FL; and three great grandchildren, Kenzie Kilbourn (Tallahassee), Kevin Miller and Kelly Miller (Dallastown).
Bob attended West York area schools and was a life member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church and Sunday School , a life member of Reliance Fire Co., a life and charter member of VFW Post 8915, and a life member of the Lincolnway Fire Co. and the Viking Athletic Club. He was also an avid collector of coins and sports cards.
While serving in World War II, he received the Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with Bronze Arrowhead, Philippine Liberation Ribbon and the World War II Victory Ribbon.
He was employed by York Decorating Co. for fourteen years and retired from York Graphic Services in 1987 after 27 ½ years of service.
