Robert Edwin Hodges, Jr. passed away unexpectedly in his home on July 15, 2015. Robert was 56 years old and a lifelong resident of Tallahassee.
He is survived by his parents, Robert Edwin Hodges, Sr. and Patsy Hodges. His brother and sister in law, Jimmy and Susie Hodges and his nephew, Taylor Boone Hodges. He is also survived by his only child, Reta Grace Hodges, her husband, Joshua D. Zelman and his four beautiful grandchildren, Elliana, Lily, Daylei and Fischer. It definitely did not end there; Robert was a loyal friend to many who also share this loss.
Robert worked in the construction industry for more than 20 years and was currently employed at Florida State University. He spent his entire life hunting and fishing. He truly enjoyed cooking and anything that was fast from cars to trucks to boats.
Though his life ended too soon he would only want us to remember that it was a full life, one that never had a dull moment; he made sure of that.
We will miss you, Robert. May your legacy live on through your daughter and grandchildren.
