Richard Allen Stafford, 75, of Tallahassee died Saturday (7/14) at Big Bend Hospice House. Born in Terre Haute, IN, on 12/31/1942, he came to Tallahassee 20 years ago from South Florida. Richard was a purchasing agent for the state and a veteran, having served in the US Navy. He was a member of the VFW Post 3308 and the Elks Lodge 937. He love to paint in his spare time and focused on the scenic areas in Tallahassee and the gulf coast.
Richard is survived by his wife of 32 years: Patricia Keller Stafford; children: Virginia (David) Tallent of Kingsport, TN, Thomas (Linnea) Stafford of Kent, OH; grandchildren: Samuel Tallent, Matthew Tallent, Caleb Tallent, Ingrid Stafford; and a niece: Vicky Markgraf of Coatesville, IN.
