Phillip Charles Mork, 93, of Tallahassee Florida passed away at home on Thursday, September 7 surrounded by his family. Phillip was born to Harvey and Hilda Mork on April 9, 1924 in Scandinavia Wisconsin. After moving to Tallahassee in 1965 he worked as a technician repairing business machines. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army in the South Pacific and a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church. As a hobby Phillip enjoyed working on anything mechanical and building almost any structure. He was the neighborhood repairman.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years: Mary E. Mork; children: Steve Mork (Kathy) of Tallahassee and Peggy McLaughlin (Mac) of Crawfordville, FL; brother: Julian Mork of Scandinavia, Wisconsin; Grandchildren: Kris Bennett (Amy), Jason Mork (Sheila), Kim Brantley (Chad), Brian Mork and Kara McLaughlin; six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service on Thursday, September 21 at 12:30 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road. Following the memorial service there will be a graveside service at Tallahassee National Cemetery at 2:00 PM with military honors.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Veterans Administration.
