Peggy Joyce Taylor

Peggy Joyce (Wallace) Taylor went to her eternal home on December 4, 2015, where her Lord and Savior awaited her arrival and where her beloved son Dennis has been waiting for their reunion of souls, along with family and friends who have lived for Christ here on earth. Dennis was killed by a drunk driver in 1985. Peggy's ultimate wish is for her loved ones and friends who remain to strive to know the heart of Christ and be reunited with Him after this life.

Peggy was born in Metter, Georgia in May of 1935 to the late Mary Lou and Clyde Wallace. She attended high school in Fernandina Beach, Florida, and later moved to Jacksonville with her mother where she met and married her soulmate, Phillip E. Taylor.

Peggy moved to Hilliard, Florida, with her husband who was an air traffic controller at the regional FAA control center there. They became members of the Hilliard First Assembly of God. Their children grew up in Hilliard and after Phil retired, he and Peggy moved to Lake City, Florida. They attended church in Lake City at a local Assembly of God. Around ten years ago, they moved to Tallahassee, where they joined Oak City Assembly of God (now Generations Church).

Peggy leaves behind two daughters: Donna (David) Allison, of Lake City, and Phyllis Fletcher of Tallahassee. Three grandchildren: Ryan (Mandy) Conner of Yulee, Florida, Christiana Fletcher of Tallahassee, and Daniel Fletcher of Avon, Colorado. Four great-grandchildren: Tyler, Rilyn, Katelyn, and Clyde Conner of Yulee. And many church friends along with extended family members.

Phil Taylor wants to give special thanks to the Seven Hills nursing home staff who cared for Peggy with love and compassion: you are greatly appreciated.

Peggy was a survivor who beat breast cancer and a brain aneurysm. She lived with her steadfast faith for another 20 years until she had a severe stroke and was placed into a nursing home. Even then she held fast to her unwavering faith. She was an inspiration and a gift to this world and will be missed.
