Pamela Sue Miller, 67, of Tallahassee died Thursday (10/4) at Harborchase of Tallahassee. She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Eugene (Nancy) Hanson of St. Petersburg.
A native of St. Paul, MN, she came to Tallahassee from St. Petersburg, FL in 1977 to pursue her Master’s Degree in Public Administration which she earned in 1978. She used her education to always serve others, first in her career as an auditor and supervisor at the Florida Auditor General’s Office. She left that position to devote her time to raising her children but remained devoted to serving others by volunteering in the public school system as volunteer coordinator, PTA co-president and school advisory council member. She was strongest in her love of family and friends.
She enjoyed photography, singing and playing the piano, and travel to big cities. Pam was a member of Fellowship Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years: David; two children: V of Tallahassee, Scott of Gainesville; sister: Ruth Stewart of St Petersburg; and two brothers: Paul and Robert Hanson both of Naples, FL.; her step mother: Barbara Hanson; and many nieces and nephews.
