Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she resided in that area until her family moved to Tallahassee in 1970. Norma met the love of her life, Bob Brown, while both working at Westinghouse. They were married in July, 1955 and were together for more that 61 years until his passing in June 2017.
Norma loved being a mother and was involved in all of her children's activities! She was a stay at home Mom, the Girlscout leader, the den mother for the Cub Scouts, she attended all of the baseball and softball games, and every school event. Norma was an artist from a very young age, she loved reading, and was a wonderful grandmother (Mimi). It was because of her love of books that Norma spent 20 years as a librarian with both Leon County, and the State Library.
Norma is survived by her daughter Deborah Green; two grandsons: Ryan & his wife Charline, and William; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Brown; her son James Brown; and her son-in law Sgt. Dale Green, TPD.
