Nancy Burch Nash

A native of Tifton, Georgia she was the daughter the late Charles Levi Burch and Bernice Harvard Burch. At the age of 10 she made her home in Asheville, North Carolina. She was a graduate of Lee Edwards High School and attended Valdosta State University. She was employed with The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, under Commissioner Doyle Connor for 10 years. After which she and her husband Vandie Nash founded Nash Optical.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold “Vandie” Nash; two daughters, Carol Nash Humphrey and son-in-law, Bruce B. Humphrey of Saint Augustine, Florida and Valerie Nash Gregory and son-in-law, Donald Frank Gregory of Commerce Township, Michigan; four grandchildren, Wren Carol Humphrey, Loren Nash Humphrey, Carolyn Francine Gregory and F. Nash Gregory.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32308. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association.
