Mary was born in Knoxville, TN on March 26, 1939. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert "Bob" Lamar Prine; mother, Sylvia Maria Prine, Madison, FL; and her husband, John "Monty" Montgomery, Reno, NV.
Mary is survived by her brother, Roy "Rip" Prine, and his wife, Ramona Prine, Madison, FL; and niece, Angela Prine, Knoxville, TN.
Mary graduated from Madison High School in 1956 and at the tender age of 17 set off to New York City where she worked at several jobs. She became a successful interior decorator with a firm in New York City. In 1962, she reached her life-long dream of becoming an airline stewardess with American Airlines. A position she held for 33 years. Mary flew most of her career flying international to Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Mary loved to travel and would travel on her own throughout Europe, South America, Africa, China, Russia, the South Pacific, Southeast Asia and the far East and other countries too many to mention.
She lived her life to the fullest and was able to accomplish some personal goals such as going on Safari in Africa and swimming with the dolphins in the Florida Keys. One of her favorite accomplishments was to Scuba dive on Australia's Great Barrier Reef.
She was loved by her family, friends and will be truly missed.
