Marsha Nott Richstone, 66, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday evening, January 29, 2017. Known by many as “Mamarsh," she was the Director of Faith Baptist Church Child Development Center for 37 years, but her most beloved roles were as a wife, mother and grandmother. She was active in her church and sought ways to serve and encourage those around her. Many will remember Marsha’s upbeat personality, her smile and her love for Jesus. She particularly loved the littlest ones, and could soothe any baby with a gentle touch and a sweet song. Marsha was the embodiment of Matthew 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” She leaves a lasting legacy of love in the community, her church, and, most of all, in her family.
She is survived by her husband, Gregg Richstone; two daughters, Stephanie Bodiford Uryga, and Courtney Bodiford Armitage; a son, Jeb (Trueby) Bodiford; two stepsons, Robert (Jill) Richstone and Brett (Kara) Richstone; sisters, Cynthia Nott and Terri (Bill) Brown; her grandchildren, Tara, Beau, Brianna, Bethany, Sam, Katy, Bradley, Joshua, Annabelle, Cole and many other loving family members.
A celebration of Marsha’s life will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017, at 11am at Morningside Baptist Church, 1560 Pedrick Road, Tallahassee, Florida.
Donations may be made in her honor to the Children’s Ministry at Morningside Baptist Church or to Making Light Productions www.makinglightproductions.org
