Margene Ragnhild Erickson

Margene Ragnhild Erickson passed away on June 29th 2013 in Tallahassee Fl. She is survived by her loving husband Roy. Three sons, Roy Jr. & wife Pam, Dennis & wife Roxanne, Paul & wife Glenda. Six grand children. Elin, Roy, Denny & wife Elizabeth, Russel & wife Nichole, Paul Jr. & wife Jessica, and Shawn. Four great grand children. Lance, Drew, Nicholas, Jakob, and another on the way ( It’s a Girl ).

Margene was a first generation Swedish American. Her parents Ragnar and Elin arrived in America thru Ellis Island in 1924. Margene was born Feb. 9 1927 in Chicago Ill. Margene met Roy after he returned home from WWII. They were together for 65 years. Margene loved Roy, cooking, sewing, home decorating and playing the accordion. Margene and her accordion brought good times and dance to countless people in the many social clubs that Roy and herself belonged to thru the years. Margene will be laid to rest at Bushnell National Cemetery in Fla. A private service was held in Tallahassee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Project or Big Bend Hospice in the memory of Margene.
