While raising her family she took classes in accounting and business administration to advance and ultimately reach retirement through State employment. She was a member of a number of the Assemblies of God congregations throughout her life, the most resent being Generations Church of Tallahassee, Florida.
She especially enjoyed simple fishing outings and camping with her husband, children and with many of her grandchildren. She actually maintained a camper and bass boat many years passed her own ability to use them. This must have served as a reminder of those joyful times.
Upon retirement Manona found increasing joy in preparing meals and providing gifts to celebrate the season. She was a driving force in the continuing traditions of family holidays and get-togethers. These occasions delighted her, as she did not mind enticing you with the variety of food that was sure to be available.
Manona was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Karl H. Davis; and her eldest daughter, Carla and a grandson, Patrick.
She is survived by: son Steve and Lori his wife, son Morris and Patricia his wife, daughters Donna, and Laura and her husband Thomas. And a cherished host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind one of three brothers, Larry, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service for Manona will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312. Following the funeral service will be a burial following the service at 12:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312.
