Lowell Candler Mason
October 6, 1961- April 7. 2024
Lowell Candler Mason was called to heaven Sunday, April 7, 2024 following a short illness in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. His survivors include; his parents: Gary Lowell and Betty Ruth Candler Mason, his wife Lisa Mason, his son Chad Candler Mason (Sheri Peacock), his daughter Chelsey Elizabeth Sliger and her husband Paul, his sister Laura Candler Dallas and her husband John, his grandchildren Weston Mason and Sarah Beth Sliger and more friends and acquaintances too numerous to list.
Lowell was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 6, 1961 at Emory University Hospital. He moved to Tallahassee at the age of ten where he started his scouting adventures with the Boy Scouts of America in Troop #115 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. He continued on working through numerous badges, camping outings and completed all of the work to attain the highest scouting achievement with the Eagle Scout Award, where he was the youngest scout to be awarded this honor. He continued to work for other merits like the prestigious God and Country Award and the Order of the Arrow.
Lowell was baptized into Christ at Saint Paul's United Methodist church as a young teen. He continued to be active in church service.
He was a team player as a catcher in baseball, and he played football at North Florida Christian School. Lowell attended Florida State's University School of Research and Development, Florida High, where he was a member of the track team and a drummer in the marching band. He graduated in 1979. Lowell loved music and listened to an assortment of favorite musicians. Lowell loved the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, water skiing, boating and more! He was an avid sports enthusiast! His favorite teams are the Florida State Seminoles, and the University of Georgia Bulldogs. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing.
Lowell married Lisa Spears in March of 1981. Their marriage remained strong through all of these years. His career in sales and service spanned many decades mainly with Coca-Cola and Pepsi Industries.
He was a very hard working, and devoted man who loved his family dearly.
