Lisa Sloan Mathis

Lisa was born January 1st, 1966 and was a lifelong Tallahassee resident. She attended Lincoln High School and was a small business owner. She enjoyed camping, outdoor recreation and playing with her cat.

She is survived by her Husband, Scott; her mother Fern Sloan of Tallahassee, her father Jat Sloan and step mother Lynda Sloan of Crawfordville; sisters Gayla Sloan Burdick (Don) and Reca Sloan Hiers of Tallahassee. She was the mother of Brandi Clark and grandmother of Georgia Marie both of Tallahassee. She was aunt to Trey Burdick of New Port Richey, Sloan Burdick Beard (Beau) of Birmingham, Mindy Deas of Tallahassee and Gabrielle Hiers of Tallahassee. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Gwen Mathis, brother-in-law Greg Mathis (Rita). In addition to other family members she is also grieved by many close friends including lifelong friend Tracy Wilks and business clients.

She has been preceded to God by her grandparents, Gene and Grace Sloan and Harland Beebe.

There will be a visitation Monday September 18th at 10:00 followed by a service at 11:00 all at Crawfordville United Methodist Church. She will be laid to rest at 4:00 that afternoon at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park at 700 Timberlane Road.
