Linda M. Pettis of Tallahassee, Florida passed away 22 Nov., 2018 in Thomasville, Georgia. She was born in Plant City, Florida on 24 May, 1947 and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Linda graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville, Florida in 1965, and attended Randolph-Macon Women’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia and later Florida State University. Linda had a career in banking and mortgage lending for a variety of banks, culminating at Prime Meridian Bank in Tallahassee.
She was survived by her son, Colonel Stuart (Rebecca) Pettis, United States Air Force, of Washington DC; her granddaughters, Erin and Victoria, both of New York, New York; sister, Suzanne (Mitchell) Moore of Boston, GA and brother, Reverend Douglas Martin of Tallahassee.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 30 Nov. at 11am at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32308. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Linda's name may be made to the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Foundation at 1331 E. 6th Avenue, Tallahassee, Florida 32303.
