Lee Schroeder, 92 of Tallahassee, retired contracts administrator for the Florida Department of Transportation, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 1. 2018. He was the widower of Ann Schroeder. They shared 59 years of marriage together. Lee was born in Bloomington, Ill., and served in the Navy during WWII. He lived in Tallahassee for 33 years before moving to Waynesville, N.C. in1933 and then returning to Tallahassee in 2015. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his son, Gary Schroeder (and husband Ron) of Atlanta; two daughters, Linda Sneath (And husband Brady) of Tampa and Nancy Warner (and husband David) of Tallahassee; six grandchildren, Brian Warner, Jennifer Warner, Matt Warner, Brook Simmons, Allison Lehmann, and Braden Sneath; and 15 great grandchildren. The graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, May 6 at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel. Lee will be fondly remember for his devotion to God, dedication to family, and selfless service to others. He was a kind and gentle man.
