She is survived by her husband, Gil Bruce; daughter, Lynna Bruce Sands (David); grandsons, Carson and Cole Sands; mother, Lucy Roddenberry McKown, sister, Annette Walker Deason (Danny); brother, Joe Murphy (Gena); and many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John Glosson Walker, Jr., and a sister, Bunny Murphy Ritchie.
Kaye was a military veteran and retired from the Air National Guard and the U.S. Postal Service. She and Gil loved to travel and had many friends who shared that time with them. They also enjoyed traveling and watching their grandsons play baseball from an early age up through, high school, college and into professional minor league. She was an active member of Seminole Baptist Church, which had been her church since childhood. Kaye was a servant of God and was always available to meet the needs of her friends and loved ones.
A Service of Remembrance and Interment will be held at The National Cemetery Tallahassee on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at 2:00PM. All attendees will be required to wear masks and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
