Karen, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember her all the way back to Sealy Elementary when you all used to live across from the school. From that time until the last time I saw her she always called me Frannie - Always concerned about other people and never failed to ask how everybody else was doing. Such a giving and caring person. Miss Louise was my mother's favorite lady at Gayfers and she was always a vision and a delight to work with. I am so sorry for your loss, she was a lovely person.

 Louise was such a sweet person. I will always remember her smile and gentle nature. She was always such a lady. I worked with her at Gayfers many years ago. I was so glad she was able to make our last reunion. She will be greatly missed. Please know you are in my thoughts and my prayers.

Louise trained me at Gayfers in 1978.  She was always so special and kind.

Later we worked together at Dillards until her retirement.  We called each other

Louise was a beautiful lady ... she was all about family, friends, and fashion,  and she was great at all three. She will be missed.  Love and sympathy to all her family who meant so much to her.

I speak for myself and my mother, Ivy Hornsby, when I say that we wish peace and comfort for the family of Aunt Louise. She lived a great life and I know you will miss her deeply.

I first met Mrs. Hornsby when I started working downtown for the State in 1969 (although my parents knew she and Ed for many years.) I shopped at Nics Toggery, and she would call me if an outfit came in that she thought I would like. As the years went by, I would often see her at Gayfers/Dillards. She was such a sweet lady and will be missed.

Louise was one of the most wonderful and beautiful women I have known; always smiling and so accommodating with assisting women with clothes
at Gayfers and other stores; such a great loss; my deepest sympathy!

To this little girl who loved her Gone With the Wind, Rhett & Scarlett, Aunt Louise was the epitome of a Southern lady! I have many happy memories of her, always perfectly dressed, perfectly coiffed, and beautifully radiant. She helped me with my first set of work clothes as I started my professional career. So sad to hear of her passing...my deepest sympathy to Craig and Karen and all the family she loved so very much.

What a class act Ms. Hornsby was. Every time I pass the Tallahassee Mall and look toward the old Gayfer's Dept. Store, I'm reminded of her, Ms. Alice Pope, Gail, Ms. Willis and several other lovely ladies I worked around. You know, she was the St. John's Knit ambassodor (trunk Show) and how can we forget the fur and mink coat's she some of us dream of having, she I'm going to miss her. Ms. Hornsby is someone I wished could live forever....rest in peace my dear friend and thanks for all the encouragement you had giving me at the tender age od 17....I love you.....

Louise was one of the kindest people I have ever known. She was the consummate Southern lady. We became friends working in the designer department at Dillard's. 

I know the last few years have been difficult for you. Louise's spirit was so strong but her little body was so frail. 

She is at peace now and with her beloved husband and with Jesus. 

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.

This beautiful lady dressed me for over 40 years and each time I open my closet, I think of her and that awesome smile.  Even when her body got older, her smile never aged.  She was so special.  I love my St. Johns and although I outgrew many of them, my daughter now wears them.  Louise will always be special.  
 
RIP Louise.  You will always be in our hearts....So many of us learned about fashion from you.  I love you pretty lady.  
Her family is in my prayers.  She leaves a huge void because of her great love she had for each of you but remember that she is smiling now but with no pain.

Mrs. Hornsby was a wonderful wonderful person.  She was my clothing "stylist" when she worked at Gayfers and we became very good friends.  I loved her, loved her style, and loved her smile.  She was truly one in a million.  Glad that she was with us for so long.
