Karyl Lynn Collins Bodine

She was born in 1942 in Elkins, WV to Georgia Frazier Collins and Paul Hunter Collins who have both preceded her in death. She grew up in Huntington, WV, attended the University of Kentucky and graduated from Marshall University. After several moves around the country, the Bodine family settled in Tallahassee in 1973.

She is survived by 3 sons, Chris (Traci), Scott (Angie) and Pat (Jennifer) and 2 daughters, Marci Lanier (Eddie) and Teri Newsome (Phillip). She also leaves 7 grandchildren, Megan Bodine Green (Dalton), Brooke Bodine, Kailey Bodine, Garrett Bodine, Courtney Bodine and Justin Bodine (Faith), Lindsey Robinette Gantner (Joe) and 4 great-grandchildren Samantha, Miles, Leighton, and Jedidiah. She is also survived by a sister, Kay Price (Dave) of Danville, VA, a nephew John Ketchum (Janice), and 2 nieces, Christen Ketchum Leris (daughter Morgan) and Anne Hunter Hemstetler (“Ham”).

At her request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Big Bend Hospice of Tallahassee, FL.
