Her parents were John Floyd and Beatrice Floyd, maiden name Beatrice Irma Bourne. Her father served in the military during World War II assigned to Pan American Airways as a Flight Mechanic.
She had an older brother Charles Floyd, now deceased.
She and Ralph were raised as Baptist and remained faithful in their belief as Christians throughout their marriage.
She leaves behind a loving husband, Ralph Nordin, married for 57 years. Two (2) fantastic children Kathleen Nordin Carter and her husband Greg; Floyd Kenneth Nordin and his wife Carol. Six (6) grandchildren: Julia Jones, Jordan Mullins, Jarrett Leigh Wood, Nick Nordin, Krisitin Nordin and Taylor Paige Nordin AND a great grandchild Landon Carter Jones, as well as several nieces and nephews. Also, two (2) grandchildren by marriage, Jake Carter and Stephanie Ferrer and their families.
Julia graduated Coral Gables High School in 1961. Julia and Ralph were married in Miami, Florida on July 9, 1962 and relocated with their two children to Tallahassee in 1968. She worked at Sears in Tallahassee, later employed in the financial world working in several Credit Unions eventually as a Chief Financial Officer and also served as President of the Tallahassee Florida Credit Union League. In 1985, she and Ralph opened and operated a very successful business for 30 years, Tallahassee Wood You Furniture. The business employed several family members including Kathleen and Floyd; raising three grandchildren in the back of the store until old enough to officially hire them as employees.
Julia and Ralph retired from the business in 2014 spending time with the family, especially the great grandchild.
She is remembered as a beautiful lady with a loving soul and smile that melts your heart.
She will be remembered forever and ever.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2019, at Immanuel Baptist Church with Celebration of Life services beginning at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in MeadowWood Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Big Bend Hospice in her memory.
