He was born in Fernandina Beach, Florida on February 16, 1962. Raised in Blackshear, Georgia, Jeff graduated from Blackshear High School in 1980 and worked in the travel industry for over 30 years, most recently for Carlson-Wagonlit Travel. Although he considered Atlanta, Georgia home for the last 20 years, Jeff called Tallahassee, Florida home in the last two.
Those who knew Jeff will remember his wanderlust and love for travel, and he was happiest visiting foreign destinations with friends and family. He was especially happy at his beloved Fernandina Beach and loved cruise ships around the world with his friends.
Jeff is preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite Jorishie. He is survived by his father, Lawrence Kenneth “Ken” Jorishie, Tallahassee, Florida; his brothers, Nick Jorishie, Blackshear, Georgia, Andy Jorishie, Tallahassee, Florida and Chris Jorishie (Stacie), Charlotte, North Carolina; niece, Jade Williams, Blackshear, Georgia; and nephews, Chase Jorishie, Charlotte, North Carolina and Jacob Jorishie, Blackshear, Georgia.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
