Jim was a hardworking, gentle man who loved God, nature and his family. He was a rancher and mechanic who loved to be outdoors and work with his hands. When not working, Jim could be found spending time with his family or out on the water fishing or traipsing the woods watching God's creatures in their natural habitats.
He is survived by: wife, Cindy; sons, Jimmy John Cox (Jaime Marie) of Tallahassee FL, Matthew Stephen Werner of Janesville WI; daughter, LeAnna Rena Dison of Greenwood FL; brothers, William Charles Cox (Cathy) of Bainbridge GA, Ralph Eugene Cox (Diane) of Bascom FL; sisters, Anne Cox Ice (Dave) of Woodbridge VA, Barbara Cox Montgomery (Owen) of Panama City, FL; and grandchildren, Timothy Reid Cox and Chelsea Breanna Dison.
He is preceded in death by his parents Betty Jane Dirmyer and Eugene Cox.
To honor his life, we invite friends and family to attend the visitation on Tuesday April 27, 2010 from 5 to 7 pm at Culley’s Riggins Road Chapel 1737 Riggins Road. Burial will take place at 5pm CDT on Wednesday at Circle Hill Baptist Church Cemetery near Sneads with visitation at the Church one hour prior. Dress casually or in fishing attire.
Donations can be made in his name to the Florida Disabled Outdoor Association.
