Isaac, thank you for being such a great friend and brother in Christ. I love you so much brother! 

From gaming to Dino’s, listening to Isaac talk about what he was passionate about is music to the ears. Always never afraid to be himself, loved his family to the moon and back and beyond, gave the best hugs, and always has the best memes. Even though the skies were never the brightest for him, he always managed to find a ray of sunshine every single time. He will always have a place in all our hearts. Forever and always.

Hey Isaac, your mom and I have known each other almost from day 1 of boot. We searched through thousands of pics to get a glimpse of our boys. Lemme  tell ya, we had eyes EVERYWHERE! And ears everywhere. 😉 When you all graduated boot, not only did you earn the Marine, we became a MoM. We all became family. You guys become '' our'' sons. I grieve for like you're my very own. Rest in peace, we got your moms six!

Keep an eye on us down here. The world needs a guardian angel like you.

Our time together was short, but filled with so much love. Our random talks and catching up still meant so much to me. 

I can't say that I have a memory of you but I have enjoyed seeing your crazy video's and pictures your mom and dad have shared over the years and the stories your  grandmother "my 1st cousin Joann and your Nana my Aunt Norma" shared , although you are my 3rd cousin who I never had the pleasure of meeting ,I felt like I knew you. You will be sorely missed but knowing that we will be together again soothes our broken hearts and fills us with joy.  Thank you for your service and thanking the Lord for letting us have you for a short time, you have been a gift given to your parents and a joy to us all. I loved watching Isaac and brothers grow up in the youth at Church. I remember that even though I had moved away when he went into the military I still cried cause I was so proud when I saw it on Facebook.  Knowing that one of our youth went on to go so far in the military is so awesome. I know Isaac will be truly missed! My heart truly breaks for y'all,  sending my love and hugs. If I could have come I would but, it just wasn't possible. I will try to look on Facebook and see if I have pictures at church I can send to you. Again, love and hugs.

Isaac bates was the best guy I have known in the army. We used to hang out in the arms room constantly and talk about conspiracy theories. He had the best sense of dark humor that would make anyone laugh and I loved him for that. I will forever miss him and love him ❤️

All I can say is, that he is loved by many Thank yousomuchforyourserviceIssac! Love ya like a son!! My son and him became close! Issac shared some things that no one else knew and now Alex doesn't remember the details but knew! I am grateful for Issac and his experience on life! I wish I could have been closer but it's ok. I still love him and of course the family dearly! 

For a lack of better words, the fact that you’ve passed on doesn’t feel quite real yet. But I’m sure it will eventually.  You were an individual with depth, loyalty down to the bone, an understanding of people and the way they tick/ their emotions. You just were a beautiful soul and human being to have the privilege of knowing in this lifetime. Extremely blunt, but also caring and loving. I know you would’ve done anything for those in this life you loved, and you deserved a lot more out of this life than you had gotten as far as it ending early goes. If it were up to me and everyone else, I’m sure everyone can agree with me when I say we’d all have loved to see you hit the age of 90, I’m sure your sense of humor would’ve aged quite well with you as well. Thank you for understanding me, it was my pleasure to have known you for such a short valuable time or for what didn’t feel like enough time. Out of this tragedy I try to think of what I’ve learned from you. I’d say I learned how to make it through even the toughest of my days, with a heart of service to others, just like you did every single day. Rest easy, heart of gold. I’ll never forget your funny nickname for me. Any secrets you’ve expressed while you were here are always going to be safe with me, as well. I’m simply grateful, and sad in conjunction at this very moment in time, both about having the privilege to know you and you passing on. I remember you expressing to me how much you love your family, especially your mom. You just had this softness underneath your hard exterior that I believe deserved so much more time here to express itself. You’re definitely free, I know that to be sure. 

I have known the Bates family for a long time. I remember Isaac and his family at West Florida Christian school and Church we went to. I remember them bringing the boys to Great American Cookie when I worked there. They were all so goofy. But I remember Isaac Coming up to me and asking me who I was. I gave him the strangest look and said you know who I am. We have been going to church forever with you. He looked me dead in the face as if he really didn't know who I was. My face went blank. He looked at me and said nah, I know you and walked off. He was so personable and can make anyone who is gloomy feel better. My heart aches for you all. I pray you can find peace through all this heart ache and pain.

He sent this to me when I told him I was feeling sad. He said he hoped that it made me feel better. It did.

Issac or Kodiak as we knew him was one of everyone’s favorite people to play with. He was super funny and a loving natured guy. He inspired so many people on the team and will live in forever as one of us. 

Isaac, you were always there for me. When I met you, it was through Mikey and Cam. It started off as meeting you through video games and hearing you say how bad I was at rocket league. We eventually met in person, and we became closer. You became more like family than anything. You taught me how to play Skyrim (even though I was pretty bad at the beginning.) We would laugh about all the stupid things we got ourselves into but we also would make sure that we were okay regardless. I’ll always love you Isaac, no matter where you are. 

Isaac, Hector, and I shared a corner in this tent at West Point. The entire time, our leadership tried to separate us but they couldn’t win. We would constantly go to the gym together and come back to our cots to laugh, talk, fool around, or even complain about the Difac’s food. Isaac is the main reason why West Point wasn’t as bad as others say it is. He was the best battle, NCO, friend I’ve ever had.

We were best-friends and sweethearts for a teenage time. say less- we had some really fun and memorable times testing freedom for the first time together. and you always painted a picture of me way more beautiful than I ever was. You did that a lot, saw the beauty in things others did not. A sharp tongue, a quick reflex, and a heart that poured its all into making others know they are accepted and loved. I know you'll be missed, by the family who loves you more than life, by the countless friends you’ve made, and by all the lives you have literally saved by being a great friend and ally. 
My heart goes out to the brothers that look up to you, and who took on so many of your great qualities. I know you’ll live on through all of us. 

The day we both graduated Comm school together. I couldn’t have asked for a better roommate! Isaac you had the most unique sense of humor and brought joy to everyone around you, we love you. Rest In Peace brother. 

When we would take long drives at night and talk about every conspiracy theory known. I will miss you, my soulmate.🤎

Isaac, together we where the Isaac Isaacs. You made a wonderful friend and I'm happy you and I spent time together at the mall and sharing memes, tagging eachother and talking occasionally when you had the time. I miss you and know it's not goodbye, it's until we meet again.

We have so many memories with Isaac and the entire Bates family! Isaac was in our church youth group and had a heart we will never forget! One of the funniest things we remember about Isaac is from one of our youth group activities. We made caramel apples but one of them had a caramel onion. Isaac got the onion! He had us laughing with his expressions! Our fondest memory is when Isaac sang in church. 
We will be comforted by the fact that Isaac had a confession of faith in Jesus and is with Him now until we all meet again! 

My favorite memory of isaac is the night we met, he showed me his death metal growl, we sang Rhianna really loud for no reason, we watched a movie, and he asked for my phone number then immediately texted me to tell me he thought i was "mad cute" even though i was sitting a foot away from him. Isaac was the life of the party, he was so fun and absolutely hilarious. Isaac came in to my life at a very difficult time. I was going through some very heavy and hard things, a lot of loss and a lot of pain. He showed me love, kindness, and support. He made me laugh, he made me feel beautiful, and he made me realize my worth. I wont ever be able to thank him again, but i want to thank his parents for creating a life that literally helped save mine. He was an amazing person with a heart of solid gold. My heart is with you all as you navigate through your hardest time, as issac's was always with me during mine. I am sending so much love and healing prayer to you all.
