Howard Franklin Headrick, 97, a resident of Woodville FL finished a long and useful life Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 4:20pm while resting comfortably at Big Bend Hospice House surrounded by loved ones.
The son of the late Oscar C and Maude Dix Headrick, he was born on January 20, 1917 in Hugoton, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant twin sister, brother Don Headrick, son Howard F Headrick, Jr., wife Onzell Jeanette Crosby-Shields-Headrick, and stepsons Joseph Shields and Richard Shields.
He is survived by stepsons, William Estral Shields of Woodville Fl, Sylvester (Jean) Shields of Tallahassee FL, Charles (Linda) Shields of Kentucky, Don Shields of Kentucky, Tom (Elaine) Shields of Bainbridge GA. Twenty-nine grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and precious friends.
Funeral service will be at Generations Church 3080 W. Tennessee St, Tallahassee, FL. Visitation with the family at 10:00am and service 11:00am. Private burial at White Church Cemetery, Woodville, FL.
