Mr. Ghazvini left behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Mina. He is also survived by his two sons and their wives, Steve and Patty Ghazvini and Pete and Lisa Ghazvini; seven grandchildren: Jason, Layla, Corey, Austin, Justin, Kailey and Zachary; and daughter-in-law, Alisa Ghazvini. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Pepper Ghazvini, who passed away in 2007.
A long-time local businessman, Mr. Ghazvini was fondly referred to as “Hoss” or “Mr. G” by friends, colleagues and business associates. He and his sons are the founders of Premier Construction and Sandco, Inc. and other business entities, but he is best remembered as an incredible community philanthropist and the guiding force of the family businesses. For nearly 15 years he has been the primary sponsor of the Tallahassee Community Thanksgiving Celebration which feeds 800 – 1000 members of the community who are alone or without a home. Major contributions include the Ghazvini Center for Health Care Education (TCC), the Ghazvini Learning Center (LCSB), the Habitat for Humanity, Big Bend Homeless Coalition, and contributions to school and community events too numerous to enumerate.
Mr. Ghazvini, a consummate gentleman, advisor, and engaging friend, will be tremendously missed by his many business colleagues and a close-knit group of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the Ghazvini family requests donations be made in his memory to the Big Bend Homeless Coalition (325 John Knox Rd. Building B, Tallahassee, FL) and Big Bend Habitat for Humanity (2921 Roberts Ave., Tallahassee, FL 32310).
