He is survived by Joan, his wife of 48 years; brother, Don Cabbage (Betty); sister, Marilyn Crawford (Tommy); as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews, daughter, Debbie Minnick (Bruce) granddaughter, Brandy Philippe (Matt); great-granddaughter, Chloe; daughter, Jackie “Starr” Cabbage, granddaughter, Ashlee, and grandsons, Donovan and Jamin.
He was stationed in Germany while serving in the United States Army.
Henry graduated from Bay High School in Panama City, Florida and later earned a degree in Journalism from the University of Florida.
Henry was the public face of the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission, news announcer for WKGG in Panama City, and has been published over 4,000 times in world media sources. His journalistic awards include: Associated Press, Florida Press Association, Association for Conservation Information, Florida Magazine Association, Florida Retail Federation, Izaak Walton League, Greater Orlando Press Club and Florida Public Relations Association. He published, Tales of Historic Tallahassee, which was a regional best seller.
