Hannah Croley Barr, 94, of Tallahassee, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 11, 2022. A native of Kentucky, she was a graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and the University of Kentucky. She was a kindergarten teacher for a number of years. She and her husband, John W. (Jack) Barr were married in 1951. They have resided in Florida since 1955 and in Tallahassee since 1962. She received the Golden Circle Degree from Delta Delta Delta Sorority and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Faith Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee.
She is survived by her husband, their two sons, David and Richard (Lynn); five grandsons Ben (Sarah), Brian (Gabriella); Michael (Emily), John (Stephenie); and Noah; a granddaughter Rachel; a great granddaughter Kinsley; and great grandsons Alexander, Gabriel, and Jaxson.
She will be long remembered as a very generous person, a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; and an enthusiastic sports fan and bridge player.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling together, both in the U.S.A. and abroad, on vacations and business trips.
Visitation will be held at Culley's Funeral Home on Riggins Road on Thursday, August 18 at 11:00 am, followed by a brief memorial service at their Chapel.
