Gary Johnson, 71,of Tallahassee, FL. Longtime owner of Tallahassee Tire Company/Goodyear Tire and Rubber, he was an active member of the community and huge supporter and fan of the Florida State Seminoles. Gary was past president of the FSU booster club, a member of the Rotary club, Tallahassee "100", and the Killearn Country Club. His hobbies included golf and spending time with family.
He is predeceased by Ruth and Earnest Johnson and survived by his wife, Terry Wester Johnson, son Greg Johnson (Mary), daughter Donna Johnson Lewis (Larry), brother Jimmy Johnson (Sue), niece Cori Johnson and nephew Jamie Brown, mother-in-law Jean Brinson, stepchildren Matthew Wester (Valezka) and Rachel Sweede (Jon) and grandchildren Matthew Johnson, Ashley Johnson Dylan Lewis, Madison Sweede and Taylor Sweede.
A visitation will be held at Culley’s MeadowWood Timberlane Road Chapel on Sunday, September 22nd from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, followed by a celebration of his life at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital on his behalf.
