He was born in Columbus, Georgia to George K. and Mary Ann Studdard on October 4, 1933. His family moved to Tallahassee in his early years where he attended Leon High School before joining the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He returned to Tallahassee where he became a lifelong member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 70 years, working in the electrical field all over the country for over 50 years. He married Judith Hatcher in 1960 and raised their family in Tallahassee where they enjoyed 64 years of marriage.
Fred will be remembered as a caring husband and father who enjoyed fishing and relaxing at his home on Ochlockonee Bay. He had a love for old cars and enjoyed car shows and spending time with family and friends.
Fred was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Brand and is survived by his wife Judith Hatcher Studdard, his sons Curtis L. Studdard, Tracy G. Studdard(Marsha), and his five grandchildren Eric Licwinko, Matthew Licwinko, Alisha Studdard, Heather Studdard, Nicole Studdard and seven great grandchildren. Fred had a close relationship with his sister Jean Patton and husband Jerry.

A graveside service for Fred will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at MeadowWood Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32312. Following the graveside service there will be a catered reception at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32312.
