He was born on February 24, 1945 in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia to parents, John A. and Mary E. Lamont (Kelly).
Tony graduated from Boston High and Latin High School, formerly Cambridge High and Latin in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Tony was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam era and served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army.
In 1966 he married Karen Trenholm and in 1967, his daughter, Karen was born.
Tony worked for the Polaroid Corporation and as a carpenter, handyman and manager of a hardware store.
He had a love of music, dancing, was an avid billiards fan and loved his Boston Bruins. Tony had a strong sense of humor until the very end, saying as he passed a local church with a gun shop next door, “That is for the shotgun weddings.” On his wife’s 50th birthday, someone gave her a “50 Rules” button and he mentioned “She has way more than 50”. He was very kind and generous and would help anyone who asked.
He is survived by his brother, John R. Lamont and his wife Joan, his daughter Karen Farrington and her partner Kurt, grandson Cullen, his daughter Audrey Brucker, granddaughter Ivonne, grandson Anthony, nephews Craig Lamont and his wife Rachel, Keith Lamont and his husband Perry, his former wife and friend, Karen Trenholm, his stepbrother Anthony Panzeri, his cousins Sandra, Eleanor, Emily, Mary and Debbie, his nephew’s children, Corey, Kayla and Sam, his brother-in-law Barry Trenholm and his wife Marilyn, his sister-in-law Donna McNauhton, his nieces Debbie, Cathy and Linda, his nephews Frank and Jacob.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents, his sister-in-law Carol Lamont, his brother-in-law Robert McNaughton, his aunts Edie, Emma, Alvina and Carol (Kay), his cousins Bob and Danny Kelly, his cousin-in-law Kenny Darling, and his stepfather Larry (Nonno) Panzeri.
A memorial service will be held on May 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32308. The service will be live streamed.
