F. Craig Johnson, 94, died December 16, 2023. He was born January 15, 1929 in Sheboygan Wisconsin, to William and Clara Johnson (brother: Bill). He attended the University of Wisconsin, where he met his wife Nancy Juster. He served for two years in the US Air Force in Illinois. After his military service he obtained a PhD in communication and became a professor at Ohio University and Michigan State University. Finally moving to Tallahassee in 1969, where he spent 26 years at Florida State University teaching Institutional Research and Research Methods.
After retiring from FSU he continued to work as an consultant and spent a decade authoring a Standard for Educational Systems which was adopted by the International Standards Organization in 2006. He and his wife traveled to more than 20 countries during their 68 year marriage.
He is survived by his son Glenn Johnson (Ginny Ellsworth), four grandchildren and a great grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife, and a daughter, Laura Mercer.
