Esther Catanese Lentz, 87 passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Margaret B. Dozier Hospice House in Tallahassee.
Her husband Arthur S. Lentz preceded her in death in 1980.
She was born in Kewanee, Illinois and was a long time resident of Tallahassee. She and her husband moved here in 1954 from Chicago, Illinois to raise a family of four daughters, she worked at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital as a laboratory technician for sixteen years then retired to raise her family. She was a great homemaker and an active member of the community. She was a world traveler, an experienced camper, a professional clown and loved life and people.
She will be greatly missed.
Esther is survived by four daughters, Penny Poulos, Polly Stetler and husband Bob, Priscilla Pendarvis and husband Jimmy, Petina Clark and husband Dr. Lee Clark; four grandchildren, Andrea Poulos, Alex Poulos and wife Karey, Carmen Lapham and husband Peter; great grandchildren, Aubree and Robert Lapham and Hunter and Greyson Poulos.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, March 18 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Saint Paul's United Methodist Church with interment to follow at MeadowWood Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallahassee, Florida.
