Emily Jane Ross

Born in Gadsden County, Florida on January 17, 1946, daughter of the late John and Laverne Childers. The majority of her career as a secretary and executive assistant was spent with the State of Florida.

Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Childers; and brother, Louie Childers. She is survived by her brothers: Don (Milly) Childers, Billy (Kay) Childers, Terry (Linda) Childers, and Tommy (Norma) Childers; daughter, Cheree (Leo) Bessent; son, Steve (Anna) Ross II; and the children she gathered around her: Jamie Elkins, Kara Kearce, Delina Eden; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Last but certainly not least in her life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the smile in her heart.

A gathering of friends and family will be on February 19th, 2023, from 2pm-4pm at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home (1737 Riggins Road).
