Eileen Theresa Daugherty

Eileen Theresa Merry Daugherty age 60 of Quincy, FL passed away on Sunday September 17th, 2017 at her home. After a long battle with lymphoma followed by lung cancer she is resting in peace. She was born in Schenectady, New York on August 13th, 1957. She received an Associates Degree from Elmira College. She was married to Christopher Jay Daugherty on December 30th, 1983. Eileen worked in many fields such as teaching and accounting, but held her career in health care. She worked for the VA Hospital, and the Health Department. Eileen had many passions including family, cooking, gardening, animals, and the ocean. She was partial to orchids, magnolias, hummingbirds, starfish, and seashells.

She was survived by her husband Chris, her children Jessica Lynn, and Joshua Noble Daugherty. Also, her brothers Carl alongside with wife Carol Merry, and Brian alongside Michelle Merry. She had a very special relationship with her Aunt Francis Crawford of Asheville, North Carolina.

Eileen was an example of love and kindness to anyone she encountered, and shined her light until the end. She requested there be no service, but would like anyone to try to spend time planting or basking in the beauty of her favorite tree the Magnolia.
