son of John and Ida Murray, raised in Tennessee, grew up on a farm, and had 8 siblings.
He served in the Army during WWII, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Jack has always loved gardening, took pride in his home and little farm. He enjoyed building things and woodworking. He was able to make just about anything he set his mind to. Always generous with his time to help others.
He was married to his wife, Phyllis, for almost 50 years and lovingly took care of her in her latter years. Together they had many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, two great grandchildren even carry on his name. Jack was previously married to Beulah Simpson Deyton till her death.
He has enriched our lives immensely with his kindness, smile and probably the biggest heart ever.
