He was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL and graduated from Leon High School. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Wood, and daughter, Lisa Wood, and many other beloved family members and friends. Bruce was a custom residential contractor in the Tallahassee area for over 50 years.
Throughout his years of being in the building industry he received multiple awards and recognitions but the one award he cherished the most was the Parade of Homes “Best in Show”. Some of his most memorable times were attending FSU football games, fishing, hunting, traveling, playing golf, spending time with family and his grand dogs, as well as fish fry’s, cooking chicken pilau and happy hours.
Funeral arrangements will be on July 21, 2022 at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home on Timberland Road with visitation at 11:00am, service at 12:00pm and graveside at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leon County Humane Society and Shriner’s Children.
